Update March 7: All Cleaning Services to Fully Resume March 9
Beginning March 9 it’s been announced the City of Toronto and Peel regions will re-open under the Grey zone guidelines which allows all domestic cleaning services to full reopen. This means all recurring and one-time cleaning services for all customers will be allowed to resume.
Update February 19: Cleaning Services to Resume February 22 only for York Region, Limited Services Available to Toronto/Peel
Unlike previously reported in our February 15 update, the City of Toronto and Peel Region have decided against full reopening and lifting the stay-at-home order for these regions. This means No More Chores will continue operating under stay-at-home order restrictions until March 9, and only be cleaning empty homes or customers that include: seniors, vulnerable persons and homes with children
However, beginning February 22 York Region will be moving into the Red zone which allows for all cleaning services. No More Chores performs services through the entire Greater Toronto Area including York Region
Update February 15: All Cleaning Services to Fully Resume February 22
Last week the The province of Ontario announced a measured reopening of businesses across the province of Ontario. Beginning February 22 It is expected that the City of Toronto will re-open under the Grey zone guidelines which allows all domestic cleaning services to full reopen. This means all recurring and one-time maid services for all customers will be allowed to resume.
Until February 22, however, we will continue to service only empty homes or customers that include: seniors, vulnerable persons and homes with children.
We welcome this announcement since we know that cleaning is essential to combating this virus and limiting it’s spread. No More Chores takes the safety and security of its’ clients very seriously and will continue to take every precaution while we are in our customers homes and businesses.
December 26: Province-wide Lockdown
As of December 26, 2020 the province of Ontario will be entering into a new phase of Covid-19 lockdown measures.
In accordance with the new provincial guidelines and to help stem the spread of Covid-19, we will be limiting our maid service only to families with children, the elderly and vulnerable persons. Vulnerable persons are considered those who may have a medical, mental health, or physical condition and are unable to clean themselves.
Customers booking one-time and move-in / move-out cleanings will also be subject to the same guidelines as above.
UPDATE – We WILL be allowing cleanings to all customers if the residents are not home, or the home is empty.
We are permitted to continue post-construction cleaning services, residential building and commercial cleaning needed to perform essential maintenance, sanitization and disinfection. If you have booked post-construction, residential building or commercial cleaning, your services will continue uninterrupted.
And of course, we will continue to follow our standard safety procedures to ensure the safety of our clients and team members.
What we ask of you
If you have booked services coming up, you will be sent a pre-screening form OR contacted by our office to determine if you are eligible to receive your booked cleaning services.
- If you are determined eligible, your service will continue uninterrupted.
- If you are determined ineligible, your service will be postponed to a date after January 23, which is the planned date for lifting of lockdown measures.
